Honoring the suffering caused by Operation Metro Surge in January 2026, Warmth From Other Suns is a reflection of the dualities of the chaos and tragedies caused by ICE brutalities and the strength, kindness and resilience of our neighbors. The first of two chamber music performances in intimate venues around the city, this concert features works by Viet Cuong, Carlos Simon, Missy Mazzoli, and more.
This concert will last approximately 90 minutes.
Missy Mazzoli: Lies You Can Believe In (2006)for string quartet
Viet Cuong: Commitment Bed (2016)for string quartet
Carlos Simon: Warmth From Other Suns (2020)for string quintet
Witold Lutosławski: String Quartet (1964)
Salina Fisher: Heal (2020)
